Established
in 1991, the Concrete Precasters Association
of Ontario was formed to unite manufacturers of concrete
septic tanks, so that they might work toward improving the
quality and perception of the products they sold, and the
systems in which they were incorporated. In the years that
have followed, local and provincial regulators, septic installers
and the general public have come to recognize the CPA as
the voice of septic tank manufacturers
in Ontario.
Working with Provincial regulators and industry, the Product
Registration Program was developed, establishing
province-wide standards for design and testing of concrete
septic tanks.
The CPA has helped
it's members train their employees through courses in Mobile
Crane Operation, Concrete
Production and Health and Safety.
Annual
conventions are held in
different parts of the province, so that members can tour
local precast plants. Suppliers
have the opportunity to display their wares, guest speakers
inform and educate attendees, and members have a chance to
just talk shop.
